Many people and religions throughout time have tried to explain God, the universe, creation, reality, consciousness, and our identity within the world, but what is the truth?

Does science actually confirm the existence of God or the description of creation and the universe according to Scripture?  I would say yes, it does, although I honestly doubt that we as Christians actually need scientific confirmation, since our belief is based in Faith!

WHAT IS FAITH?

Well, the definitions vary considerably depending on the source…

I have always thought that faith could be defined as
“the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not yet seen”

The Oxford English dictionary says this:

1. Confidence, reliance, trust (in the ability, goodness, etc., of a person; in the efficacy or worth of a thing; or in the truth of a statement or doctrine).

Per Dictionary.com faith is:

1. belief in anything, as a code of ethics, standards of merit, etc.: to be of the same faith with someone concerning honesty.

According the C.S. Lewis, it is the “art of holding on” to previously accepted truths despite changing feelings or moods. 

In Christianity, faith causes change as it seeks a greater understanding of God. According to the author of the New Testament book of Hebrews, faith precedes understanding. Understanding comes after believing.Hebrews 11:3 Faith is not fideism or simple obedience to a set of rules or statements. Before Christians have faith, they must also understand in whom and in what they have faith. Without understanding, there cannot be true faith, and that understanding is built on the foundation of the community of believers, the scriptures and traditions, and on the personal experiences of the believer.

Whether interpreted as “belief” (cognitive acceptance) or “trust” (relational confidence), faith serves as a foundation for understanding or navigating reality.

Now let me introduce you to two terms you may or may not be familiar with –  Epistemology (belief or faith) and Ontology (knowledge), which are totally reliant upon each other, as they act as predication and attribution in the logic of faith. And this brings me to the subject of this post, which seeks to answer the question – What Is God?

CTMU – COGNITIVE-THEORETIC MODEL OF THE UNIVERSE

CMTU (pronounced “cat-mew”) is a philosophical self-simulation theory of the relationship between mind and reality developed in the 1980s by Christopher Langan (aka: the “man with 200 IQ”) that proposes the universe is a cognitive, self-referential system with its own syntax, that reality and consciousness are interconnected in a logical structure that explains existence itself. Langan, a self-taught independent researcher know for his high IQ, argues that CTMU “proves the existence of a “God” which is synonymous with the universe itself as a conscious, self-simulating entity”.  CTMU presents reality as a “metaformal system” (much like a computer program or language) that dictates how reality evolves and interacts, with consciousness being an inherent component of the structure.
